Curriculum
The curriculum is emergent and based on the questions and interests of the children. Experiences are planned to support children’s explorations. When a child shows an interest or wonders about something, it is the adult’s role to support that discovery, while allowing the child to answer his/her own questions through investigation.
Activities are planned for the whole group with adaptations based on developmental level, as well as individually. Lesson plans include activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, motor and creative development for all children.
Play each day is child-directed. This is the most natural way for a child to learn. For this belief that the child’s play is his/her work, the children’s creations are often referred to as their work
